What is the event?

The 84th edition of Expozebu will be held from April 28 to May 6 in the Fernando Costa Park and will commemorate the 80th anniversary of the genealogical record of the zebu breeds, as well as on the valuation of Zebu's meat and milk.

Reasons to attend:

• Culture and gastronomy: inside the Expozebu will also have a fair with exhibitors that will market products such as sweets, cheeses, cachaça, sausages and handicrafts. There will be about 70 exhibitors. The space will be set up in the Multipurpose Pavilion, and the goal, besides promoting production and generating income for small producers, is to offer one more leisure option for visitors.
• More attractions: in addition to the shows, Expozebu will have a gastronomic program including a Food Trucks Festival. The University Village will also count on the presence of more than 10 groups of universities in the region.
• Zebu Museum: The 35th Mostra of the Zebu Museum will highlight the 80th anniversary of the Genealogical Registry. The theme will also be on the agenda of the 3rd Discussion Forum, which will deal with the evolution of the sector, from the beginning of the Registry to the present day, with the Genome. The program, once again, is aimed at creators, industry professionals and university students.
• Auctions and businesses: The season of auctions and animal malls will have 24 events, starting on April 28. Only in auctions, there are already 22 scheduled so far. In 2017, the auctions and malls moved almost R $ 35 million. In the Fernando Costa Park, more than 60% of the commercial area is already occupied, with companies of products and services related to the sector. Last year, Expozebu handled, directly and indirectly, around R $ 150 million.
• Traditional Milk and Farm Competition: this year will be celebrated 40 years of the Milk Competition, with two awards. One of them will be based only on volume of milk produced, the other on milk corrected for total solids (LCST). The test will be held from April 30 to May 3, with milking at 2:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
• Officials: Invitations to Expozebu have already been sent to governors, federal and state deputies, as well as mayors and councilors of the region. According to ABCZ, in March, the invitation will also be made personally by the board of the association to the President of the Republic, Michel Temer, and the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, Blairo Maggi.
• ABCZ Young: a cycle of lectures and debates is being organized. Among the activities promoted by the "ABCZ Young" are confirmed the 8th Young Rural Meeting, the Conference Young Agencies of Livestock, and actions linked to Pro-Genetics.
