Four meetings of an auction for offshore and onshore oil exploration areas

The National Energy Policy Council (CNPE), through CNPE Resolution No. 10/2017, published in the Official Gazette of May 24, 2017, authorized the ANP to hold the 15th Round of bidding for exploration and production blocks Of oil and natural gas, in the concession modality.
 
For the 15th Round, the following blocks should be selected:
 

• Sea basins of Foz do Amazonas (SFZA-AP1, AP2, AR1 and AR2 sectors);
• Ceará maritime basins (SCE-AP2 and AP3 sectors);
• Potiguar sea basins (SPOT-AP1, AP2 and AR2 sectors);
• Sea basins of Sergipe-Alagoas (sectors SSEAL-AUP1 and AUP2);
• Sea basins of Pernambuco-Paraíba (sector SPEPB-AP3);
• Ultra-deep sea basins outside the Pre-salt Polygon of Campos (sector SC-AP5) and Santos (SS-AUP1 sector);
• Basins of Paraná (SPAR-N and CN);
• Land basins of Parnaíba (SPN-SE and N); and
• Terrestrial sectors of the Sergipe-Alagoas, Recôncavo, Potiguar and Espírito Santo basins.

The achievement of the 15th Round has the following objectives:
 
Expand reserves, production and knowledge of Brazilian sedimentary basins;
Decentralize exploratory investment in the country and increase the participation of small and medium-sized enterprises by developing the small oil industry; and
To set up domestic and foreign companies in Brazil, continuing the demand for local goods and services, generating jobs and distributing income.
