ESCOLAR OFFICE BRAZIL
What is the event?
One of the world's major fairs and the largest in the Americas for the office, stationery and school sector. Escolar Office Brasil takes place annually in a strategic period for the Brazilian market. A fair focused on business, bringing together national manufactures and distributors and a signigicant number of international exhibitors from various countries, which come to Brazil in order to expand business contacts in Latin America and establish partnerships with Brazil companies. From 2017 on, it will take place at Expo Center Norte, São Paulo.
Reasons to attend:
- For three decades, Escolar Office Brasil has been the country’s sole event entirely focused on supplying the retail market of stationery stores. During such period, the expo has collaborated for the development and professionalization of the entire production chain of the sector.
- The fair is the leading business event of this industry 03, responsible for supplying the stationery retail for back to school and present to the market the novelties of school material, office supplies, computer, backpacks, educational toys, gifts, packaging, crafts and many other items.
- Transfer of knowledge remained as one of the pillars of Escolar Office Brasil. This edition offered almost 30 hours of free programming for exhibitors and visitors composed of lectures given by experts, exhibitors and guests.
Business Rounds
A sample of the resumption of the economy and its impact on business could be observed in the Business Rounds held for the first time at Escolar Office Brasil. The meetings, held at a reserved and exclusive setting away from the booths, placed 39 exhibiting companies and 18 specially invited buyers face-to-face. The 259 meetings held on the 24th and 25th resulted in more than BRL 2.3 million in immediate businesses and an additional BRL 14.6 million estimated for the next 12 months.
Buyers came from nine states - São Paulo, Goiânia, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Pará, Paraná, Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Norte and Santa Catarina - and the Federal District. They were selected from a careful evaluation of their purchase volume, performance niche, profile of clients served, need to increase the mix and synergy with products and services within the wide range offered by the trade fair. Among those invited were companies such as Leroy Merlin and Livraria Cultura.
Buyer Shuttles
In addition to this action, Escolar sponsored the arrival of shuttles with 330 small and medium-sized storekeepers, in partnership with retail entities (trade unions, trade associations, storekeepers’ chambers) from nine cities in three states: Ribeirão Preto, Franca, Taubaté, São José dos Campos, Piracicaba, Mococa and Bauru (SP), Belo Horizonte (MG) and Vitória (ES).
