What is it

Book Fair of Resende, was launched in 2015 with a great repercussion, being one of the few opportunities for many children, young people and adults of the region to have contacts with great authors and diversities of books. FLIR has activities for the public of all tastes and age groups in various spaces, with the participation of regional and national writers and artists, as well as the dissemination and democratization of access to promotional books, creating an environment of exchanges, dialogues and learning among all present. During the four-day event, all programming activities are free, benefiting more than 13 cities around Resende-RJ. 

Reasons to attend

The main objective of the event is to popularize the book through the democratization of access, fostering reading, art, and culture in addition to supporting the sector's economic market. For this, the fair promotes dozens of activities for the public through a diversified cultural program, which includes writers, illustrators, storytellers, among other guests. Therefore, the project comes as a greater stimulus, because the books are more accessible and well-publicized and for being incorporated into a public space bringing a comprehensive form to a multiplier effect in the promotional space of reading.
