This partnership will replace 68 (sixty-eight) existing contracts and a maximum annual consideration of the Union in the amount of R$ 182.5 million is expected to be paid through air navigation tariffs, namely: Use of Communications and Assistance to Air Navigation on Route (TAN) and Rate of Use of Communications and Radio-Air Navigation Aids in the Area of Approach Control (TAT / APP) and which represented according to the studies about 8% of the Resources destined to the Brazilian Airspace Control System responsible for controlling 22 million square kilometers of jurisdiction under the responsibility of Brazil, which includes the entire national territory and the exclusive economic zone of 10 million km2 over the Atlantic Ocean.
 
The contract value over 25 years is R $ 4.56 billion, the investment is about R $ 1.09 billion and operating costs total R$ 2.19 billion.
It is expected to implement the proposed increase in safety and efficiency in the management of Brazilian airspace, with means’ rationalization, with the increasing of performance and concentration of human resources of the Brazilian Air Force in its final activity.
 
The studies were completed and the project was submitted to the Federal Audit Court on July 10, 2017. A public consultation was opened to gather suggestions for the draft edict and annexes on July 31, 2017. Publication of the notice is scheduled for 4th quarter of 2017 and the auction for the first quarter of 2018.
