CPF – Cadastro de Pessoa Física (Tax Payer Number)

"Taking the hassle out of acquiring documents"

  • Apply for a CPF

A CPF can be obtained relatively cheaply from Poupa Tempo (in São Paulo), which we recommend doing yourself if you have spare time. If, however, you would like a bilingual personal assistant to take care of the application for you, we can recommend you one. The personal assistant's fee for this service for the day is R$100, if you would like this service fill out our Documents Application Form placing CPF in the comments section.

CPF – Cadastro de Pessoa Física (Tax Payer Number)

A CPF comes in the form of a blue, credit card sized card containing your name, tax payer number and date of birth (no photo). A CPF is required to do almost everything in Brazil, including getting the documents below. Therefore it is essential if you plan to live, work or do business in Brazil. Getting a CPF is not as easy as in other countries where you can simply call the tax department and request the number for example.
